Dear IWKnights,

I am writing you to ask for prayers for Vic Porcelli, host of the Vic Porcelli Show on NewsTalk STL. He is undergoing surgery Monday Morning (October 25th) to have a pheochromocytoma removed from his stomach and possibly his right kidney as well. As Vic Porcelli wrote on his Facebook page Saturday…..

Ok so here we go again. Eight years ago I had a massive tumor called a pheochromocytoma removed from
my stomach. It grew out of my adrenal gland and was crushing my kidney and liver. They also had to remove my adrenal gland on the right side. It was a big surgery.

Well it has grown back and as my wife says "it brought some friends." So now I have three pheochromocytomas and they all have to go. I also may lose my right kidney. The surgeon said they will do everything they can to save it. He called this a very risky surgery, but he’s confident all will go well.

Surgery is Monday. Jessica will update you.

    Vic Porcelli and Ken Williams have been wonderful to the IWKnights for the past several years (Along with NewsTalk STL & Jamie Allman)….especially when it comes to the promoting the IWKnights Lenten Fish Fry. As Ken Williams said on his Facebook page that Vic "would benefit from all of our good thoughts, prayers and positive energy. For steady hands of those taking care of Vic and for a full recovery afterward. 🙏🏻🙏"

In that spirit, Please pray the Prayer for the Canonization for the intercession of the founder of the Knights of Columbus, Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney:
    God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor.
    Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast.
    We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present . . . The healing of Vic Porcelli of the three pheochromocytomas and that his right kidney may be saved during surgery.
